BIDDEFORD, Maine - In a match where five different keepers saw playing time, the University of New England (2-3-1) took down Husson women's soccer, 8-1, at Blue Storm Stadium on Tuesday night. 

THE SCOOP:

Caroline Wilson put UNE on the board in the first ninety seconds of the game. The Eagles (1-5-0) were able to hold the Nor'easters to the single goal until the 30th minute when Wilson struck again, 2-0. Both of her goals were assisted by Katie Beaudoin. 

Nor'easter Vanessa Hodge began crashing the net, slipping in a hat track before the first half closed out to give UNE the 5-0 advantage. 

In the 84th minute, Husson was awarded a free kick just outside the box on a UNE handball. Mackenzie St. Pierre converted this opportunity into a goal for her first collegiate point while helping the Eagles get on the board before the match concluded. 

BETWEEN THE POSTS:

Sami Ireland started in net for the Eagles, recording five saves in 71:53 before Gabi Martin took over seeing her first minutes in between the posts this season, giving up just one goal. Two players subbed in net for starter Jenna Pannone who took the first shift covering the entire first half with one save. Molly Early and Mackenzie Gilmore split the remaining half while each grabbing a save. Early gave up the Eagles' lone goal.

TEAM STATS:

The Nor'easters were awarded a slew of corner kicks (15), while Husson countered with seven total shots to UNE's 21 shots.
