Box Score Waterville, ME – Women's soccer senior Courtney Hill (Calais, ME) scored the game winning goal to lead the Eagles past North Atlantic Conference rival Thomas College 1-0.
The Terrier defense suppressed the hot feet of the Eagles, who were coming off a 6-0 victory over University of Maine Presque Isle Wednesday night, for the first 70 minutes of the game.
Finally in the 71st minute Sydney Costa (Acushnet, MA) crossed the ball across the box for Hill who was at the right place at the right time.
"Our team put together a solid, complete performance today," said Head Coach Carly Gettler, "We maintained intensity throughout the match, hit all our game goals, and walked away with an important conference win."
Jess Poulin (Albion, ME) was sharp in goal playing all 90 minutes and stopping everything that came her way. Kate Thibodeau stopped 6 shots during her time in net for Thomas.
The Eagles improve to 7-8-1 on the season, and 4-3-1 in the NAC, while the Terriers fall to 3-11 overall and 1-6 in the conference.

This season marks the 25th season the two teams have met head to head and Husson currently has won the last 20 out of 21 games with the only loss coming in 2011 where the Eagles lost 1-0 at Thomas.
