Box Score New London, NH - Husson men's basketball held off Colby-Sawyer in North Atlantic Conference action Saturday by a final of 73-71. The Eagles managed to hold off CSC in the late going to earn the tough NAC victory on two 14-point efforts from Brooks Spaulding and Eric Modica.
Spaulding had his best game of the season yet, boarding seven rebounds and a blocked shot as time expired to seal the victory.
Both teams went back and forth at a ferocious pace the entire contest, to provide a thriller of a matchup, in which the Eagles came out victorious.
Senior center Marc Zaharchuk added another solid performance off the bench, grabbing four rebounds and scoring 11 points on 3-4 from the floor and a 50% effort from the charity stripe in 13 minutes.
Mike Dias of CSC scored a game-high 16 points on 6-8 shooting and four free-throws.
Husson held slight margins in field goal percentage and three point field goal percentage in the win, shooting 48% overall and 44% from beyond the arc.
The Eagles will be back in action this Friday and Saturday as they take on Lyndon State and Johnson State at home in Bangor during local youth Travel Team Weekend.
