Box Score Bangor, ME- Husson University Men's Basketball ended a weekend filled with conference match ups with another crucial win in North Atlantic Conference play with a 90-71 win over GMC.
With this win Husson improves to 3-3 overall and 2-1 in NAC play. Green Mountain falls to 1-8 on the season and 0-4 in NAC play.
Although Green Mountain made a strong push early in the game when they came back from being down 7 to cut it back to a one point deficit, they were never able to take a lead in the game. Husson was able to capitalize on opportunities with 45 rebounds, earning 15 second chance points, and scoring 21 points off a GMC's turnovers.
Junior Jacob Moore (Hampden, ME) was the leading scorer for Husson with 20 points, 12 of which came from 3-point shots, in 28 minutes of play. Seniors Eric Modica (Kittery, ME) and Brooks Spaulding (Fairfield, ME) chipped in with 14 points each. Modica had 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and one block, while Spaulding had 9 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block.
For Green Mountain sophomore Carnelius Green (Oviedo, FL) scored 21 points in 30 minutes, with 11 rebounds, and 1 steal.
Husson will next travel to compete at the CUA- Holiday Inn College Park Classic at Catholic University, after the holidays on December 29th & 30th.
