Bangor, ME - The Husson women's swimming and diving team will host the Golden Bears of Western New England University in a dual meet at 12:00 pm on Saturday January 21st at the Weber Pool in the Newman Gymnasium. This meet is dubbed an "Eagle Alert" meet, where other members of the Husson student athlete community show up in support of the swimming and diving team. The event is sure to provide a unique environment in the natatorium.
The Eagles have a handful of swimmers to watch, including Erin Benner (Morrow, OH) who will be competing in the 1,000 yard freestyle for the first time as she hopes to qualify for the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association Championships. Megan Call (Levant, ME) will compete in the 100 yard breast stroke while Hali Fleishman (Brewer, ME) and Casey Pray (Bangor, ME) will race the 50, and 100 yard freestyle. Martina Bosse (Brewer, ME) will continue to impress in the diving competition as the 2011-12 Great Northeast Athletic Conference diving champion.
