BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University women's swimming and diving team has named Libby Saucier as its newest commitment for the 2026 season.

Saucier comes to Husson from Old Town, Maine, where she competed for Canoe City Swim Club out of Old Town YMCA and the Northern Penobscot Co-Op high school team.

A talented swimmer with versatility in multiple events, Saucier is a record holder in the 100 breaststroke for Old Town High School.  Libby earned a bronze medal at this year's Class B MPA State Championship in the 100 breaststroke [1:09.6]. Saucier went on to better her 100 breaststroke mark at the 2026 winter Maine YMCA Championship, swimming a personal best time of 1:08.9.

"I am looking forward to meeting new people along with making friends and also being able to continue the sport that has shaped who I am today," said Saucier.

"We could not be more excited to welcome Libby to the team next year," said head women's swimming & diving coach Lauren Hoffman. "She adds incredible depth and versatility to the team. She is a hard worker and a motivated individual and we could not be more excited to see the impact she will make."

Selected to the 2025-26 Penobscot Valley Conference All Academic Sports Team, Saucier, who will major in accounting, also competes in the 50 free (26.3) and the 100 backstroke (1:05.8).
