Kennard brings home third LEC championship on final day of LEC swim & dive meet

WELLESLEY, Mass. – The Husson University women's swimming & diving team wrapped up the 2026 Little East Championships on Sunday with several strong individual swims and relay performances, finishing fourth overall with 461 team points.

In the 100-yard freestyle, sophomore Mariah Muskavitch placed 13th overall in the consolation final in 58.90, while freshman Brooklyn Henderson finished 14th in 59.72.

The Eagles had three swimmers compete in the 1650-yard freestyle. Freshman Sara Harriman earned a podium finish, placing third in 19:05.66 to set a new program record. Sophomore Gabrielle Hoffmann finished 12th in 21:03.02, and junior Isabella Cost placed 19th in 23:42.16.

Sophomore Emily Kennard added another conference title to her resume, winning the 50-yard backstroke in 28.19 to set a new program record.

In the 200-yard breaststroke, junior Logan Williams competed in the consolation final and finished 14th overall in 2:54.09.

Sophomore Morgan Collins and freshman Abbey Donato both reached the championship final of the 200-yard butterfly, placing fifth in 2:32.98 and sixth in 2:34.07, respectively. Junior Mackenzie Gray competed in the consolation final and finished 15th in 2:59.04.

Junior Olivia Underwood placed fifth in the championship final of the 100-yard IM in 1:06.66, while freshman Gracie Schiller finished 15th in the consolation final in 1:17.50.

Husson concluded the meet with a third-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay, touching the wall in 3:47.13 with the team of Muskavitch, Harriman, Kennard and Underwood to eclipse a new program best.

Following the meet, Kennard was crowned LEC women's rookie swimmer of the year after capturing three conference titles over the course of the weekend, sweeping the backstroke events by herself

The Eagles will now begin preparing for the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference championships, which begin on Feb. 27.
