BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University men's basketball program finalized this year's recruiting class with the commitment of Jakub Pasieczy from Longford, Ireland.  

Pasienczy played the last two seasons at Neosho County Community College in Chanute, Kansas, a D1 JUCO.  The Panthers finished last season at 16-16 and over his two years at NCCC, Pasienczy appeared in 39 games averaging 2 points and 2 rebounds per game.  

"Jakub gives us additional size and good experience to our frontcourt," said head men's basketball coach Warren Caruso. "He plays hard and will be a good fit with the other pieces we have, it will be nice to have his size and experience at the big man spot."  

Pasienczy is an excellent student as he finished as Valedictorian of his class at Neosho County CC while majoring in business.  

Coach Caruso and the Eagles will welcome in a class of 10 new student athletes. "We are excited to get everyone on campus," concluded Caruso. "We lost 8 guys last season, 4 to graduation and 4 to the portal. It is going to be fun to bring the group together and compete."

Pasienczy joins Cory Geason, CATS Academy (Prosper, TX), Cam Coutts, Erskine Academy (Palermo, ME), Dontay Williams, Sebastian River High School (Palm Bay, FL), Roman Snytiuk, Jordan Christian Prep (Ukraine), Amir Morton, Chesapeake Math and IT North (Bowie, MD), Aiden Dyals, Osceola Fundamental High School (Seminole, FL), Jaelen Randall, Lake Wales High School (Winter Haven, FL), Brody Hurd, Hermon High School (Hermon, ME), Meachi Kimball, Tampa Bay Prep (Tampa, FL),and Ben Normand, Hopkinton High School (Contoocook, NH) in Husson's 2026 recruiting class.  

The Eagles have won 10 North Atlantic Conference titles since 2009 and won back-to-back NAC titles in 2024 and 2025.
