Men’s basketball secures Geason as newest 2026 commitment

BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University men's basketball team continued their recruiting into the summer with the commitment of Cory Geason from Prosper, Texas.  

Geason is a 6'5 forward who did a prep year at Cats Academy in Braintree, Massachusetts last season. Prior to Cats Academy, he played at Prolific Prep in California where he averaged 10 points, 6 rebounds, and shot 41% from the three point line.  This summer he played AAU with EYBL Soldiers Arsenal averaging 20 points and 9 rebounds.  

"Cory is a strong athletic forward who can knock down open shots," said head men's basketball coach Warren Caruso. "Cory has a high motor and is a good two way player. He gives us good size and skills in the frontcourt." 

While at Prolific, Geason was a member of the National Honor Society.

Geason joins Cam Coutts, Erskine Academy (Palermo, ME), Dontay Williams, Sebastian River High School (Palm Bay, FL), Roman Snytiuk, Jordan Christian Prep (Ukraine), Amir Morton, Chesapeake Math and IT North (Bowie, MD), Aiden Dyals, Osceola Fundamental High School (Seminole, FL), Jaelen Randall, Lake Wales High School (Winter Haven, FL), Brody Hurd, Hermon High School (Hermon, ME), Meachi Kimball, Tampa Bay Prep (Tampa, FL),and Ben Normand, Hopkinton High School (Contoocook, NH) in Husson's 2026 recruiting class.  

The Eagles have won 10 North Atlantic Conference titles since 2009 and won back-to-back NAC titles in 2024 and 2025.
