Men’s basketball lands Snytiuk as newest 2026 commit

BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University men's basketball program continued to add to their 2026 roster with their latest commitment from Roman Snytiuk. 

Snytiuk is a 6'5" wing who has spent the last three years at Jordan Christian Prep in Florida playing for head coach Mike Guastella. They finished 16-6 this season with Snytiuk averaged 16.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.

The sharp shooter finished the year shooting 39.7% from the arch and 45.6% from the field and he added in 1.8 steals per game along with shooting 88.4% from the foul line. 

"Roman is a very mature student athlete and will arrive on campus ready to contribute to our success" said Head Men's Basketball Coach Warren Caruso. "He spaces the floor with his 3 point shooting and is very efficient offensively. Roman also has the ability to defend multiple positions".

Snytiuk joins Amir Morton, Chesapeake Math and IT Academy North (Bowie, MD) Aiden Dyals, Osceola Fundamental High School (Seminole, FL) Jaelen Randall, Lake Wales High School (Winter Haven, FL), Brody Hurd, Hermon High School (Hermon, ME), Meachi Kimball, Tampa Prep (Tampa, FL), and Ben Normand, Hopkinton High School (Contoocook, NH) in Husson's 2026 recruiting class.

The Eagles finished the season at 16-10 and 2nd in the North Atlantic Conference. They have won back to back NAC titles in 2024 and 2025 and have 10 NAC titles since 2009.
