STANDISH, Maine – The Maine College Baseball and Softball Association revealed its final weekly award winners of the season on Tuesday and Husson University senior Cam Rendell was named pitcher of the week.
Rendell took home pitcher of the week in the North Atlantic Conference and MCBSA after he stepped up in a massive way on the bump for Husson in game one of a doubleheader sweep of Vermont State University Lyndon, as he hurled a complete-game shutout against the Hornets, surrendering just one hit and three walks over the seven innings of work, as he struck out seven batters on the day.
The Eagles open the NAC tournament on Thursday afternoon at the Winkin Complex when they battle #4 Vermont State University Lyndon at 12 p.m.
