BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University men's basketball program returned to Florida to get its latest addition to the 2026 class with the commitment of Aiden Dyals from Seminole, Florida.

Dyals is a two sport athlete playing a major role in the success of both the basketball and baseball program. The 6'5" forward helped the Osceola Fundamental High School basketball team to a 14-12 record for head coach Doug Scull and he set school records in three categories, most rebounds in a season (391), most rebounds in a single game (24) as well as double doubles in a season (17).

On the year, Dyals averaged 12 points and 15 rebounds per game and was named 2nd Team All Pinellas County, 1st Team All-Academic Pinellas County, and was selected to play in the Pinellas County All-Star game.  He played AAU for the BirdBall group under the direction of coaches Colin Shaw and Doug Skull.

"Aiden has a great motor and never stops working on both ends of the floor," said Head Men's Basketball Coach Warren Caruso. "He has a very good skill set, plays with intensity, and makes those around him better."

Dyals's success has continued into the baseball season helping his team win the District Championship with a 20-6 record and they will move onto the state tournament next week as the #3 seed.  Dyals is currently batting .345 and has a 3.55 ERA as a relief pitcher.

Dyals joins Jaelen Randall, Lake Wales High School (Winter Haven, FL), Brody Hurd, Hermon High School (Hermon, ME), Meachi Kimball, Tampa Prep (Tampa, FL), and Ben Normand, Hopkinton High School (Contoocook, NH) in Husson's 2026 recruiting class.

The Eagles finished the season at 16-10 and 2nd in the North Atlantic Conference and won back to back NAC titles in 2024 and 2025 and has 10 NAC titles since 2009.
