BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Husson University women's cross country team returned to the course on Saturday, as it took part in the State of Maine Intercollegiate Championship at the Pickard Field Cross Country Course in Brunswick.
The Eagles took home a ninth-place finish as a team in the event, with the hosts of Bowdoin College securing the team title.
Senior Grace Bedore was the top finisher for Husson with a time of 24:11.08, while sophomore Molly Dearborn and freshman Nina Huber finished within seconds of each other with times of 27:51.84 and 27:55.69.
Freshman Brooke Martin and junior Abby Hunt rounded out the field for Husson, as they posted times of 28:36.37 and 29:19.33 respectively.
The Eagles will be back in action on Oct. 4 when they host the North Atlantic Conference Preview Meet at Saxl Park.
