MEDFORD, Mass. – The Husson University men's soccer team concluded its weekend trip to Massachusetts on Sunday afternoon with a 6-0 loss to Tufts University in non-conference action.
Tufts (3-1-1) struck twice in the first 13 minutes of action to take a quick 2-0 edge over Husson (0-5-1).
The Jumbos tacked on an additional tally in the opening 45 minutes to carry a 3-0 edge into the halftime break.
Tufts further padded its lead with goals in the 69th, 81st and 85th minutes to put the finishing touches on a dominant offensive performance.
The Eagles were outshot 40-1 in the contest, including 19-1 in shots on goal, while also allowing 19 corner kicks in the match.
Junior Garret Jordan and freshman Liam Mason each saw time in net and combined to make 13 saves.
Husson is back in action on Wednesday when it heads to the University of Southern Maine for a 6:30 p.m. contest.
