SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Husson University football team fell in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon to No. 25/RV Springfield College by a final score of 38-6 at Stagg Field in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The Eagles looked to answer, as they entered Springfield territory on their next drive, but back-to-back penalties put them in a long-yardage situation, which eventually led to a punt to give the ball back to the Pride.
After two-consecutive rushes to get out of their own end zone, the Pride busted out another long touchdown play, this time a 70-yard rush, to double their advantage near the end of the opening period.

After the Pride connected on a 27-yard field goal to open the fourth quarter, Husson put together a lengthy touchdown drive of its own to get on the board, as graduate student Elijah Garnett scampered in from six yard outs to bring the score to 31-6 after a failed two-point conversion.
Springfield drained virtually all of the remaining six minutes that were left on the clock, as it found the end zone for a fifth time on the day and brought the game to its final score of 38-6.
