WATERVILLE, Maine — The Husson University softball team picked up a pair of North Atlantic Conference victory on the road Saturdays against the University of Maine at Farmington winning 7-0 and 6-1 to conclude the regular season.
Husson (24-10, 8-0 NAC) didn't waste any time in Saturday's doubleheader opener, scoring a run in the first inning on a Farmington (14-16, 4-4 NAC) miscue.
The Eagles added four more runs in the second, senior
Tatyanna Biamby doubled in two runs for a 3-0 edge and senior
Bulla McCabe connected on aa two-RBI single for an early 5-0 lead.
McCabe added another RBI in the sixth on a double and graduate student
Julia Gregoire doubled to score McCabe to run the deficit to 7-0.

Sky Johnson dominated again in the circle for Husson, pitching seven scoreless innings, allowing only two hits and striking out nine to pick up the win.
The Eagles finished the opening game with 11 hits, Biamby and senior
Kiara McLeod each tallied two hits, McCabe finished 3-4 with four RBIs and sophomore

In Saturday's finale, Farmington struck for the first run of the game in the second inning and led 1-0 until the sixth inning.
That's when the Eagles bats came alive, after King scored on a wild pitch to tie the game, McLeod connected on a two-RBI single to left field to give Husson a 3-1 edge.
Biamby continued with her impactful day at the plate in the seven, scoring King on an RBI single to push the game to 4-1 and McCabe plated her fifth RBI on the day following a double. Gregoire added another RBI on an infield single to push the game open at 6-1.
Sophomore
Ana Lang who got the start for the Eagles pitched the complete game, six-hit performance, allowing one run and striking out 10 batters.
The Eagles will now turn their attention to the NAC tournament championship when they travel to the top seed in the West Division looking to continue their championship streak.
