BLOOMFIELD, Conn. – The Husson University women's golf team concluded its season on Sunday afternoon with the conclusion of the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Championship at the Wintonbury Hills Golf Course.
Husson concluded the two-day, 27-hole tournament with a team score of 601 and a seventh-place finish after round one was shortened to nine holes on Saturday because of rain.
SUNY Cortland beat out Suffolk University by two strokes with a team score of 510 for the tournament to take home the championship.
Junior Caitlyn Chabot was the top individual performer for Husson with a 10th-place finish and a 29-over par for the tournament thanks to a 20-over, 90, in Sunday's second round.
Senior Lindsay Cote finished two spots behind her teammate with a 30-over par score over the two days and an identical 20-over, 90, in today's round.
Fellow junior Allie Weinert placed 21st with a score of 40-over par, shooting a 24-over, 94 in round two.
Freshman Emma Kuhn rounded out the field for the Eagles with a total score of 82-over par, including a 47-over, 117, in the final round.
With the conclusion of the conference championship, the season has come to an end for the Husson University women's golf team.
