STANDISH, Maine — The Husson University women's track & field team posted three runner-up performances at the Monks Track & Field Invitational hosted by Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Friday.
Freshman
Natasha Monreal began the Eagles showing with a personal-best performance time of 13.76 in the 100-meter dash.
Freshman
Molly Dearborn finished fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.63, while also posting a seventh-place performance in the 400 meters with a mark of 1:09.34.
Junior
Niamiah Perry clocked a 17.88 in the 100-meter hurdles to finish eighth and fellow junior
Lexi Freeman posted a 1:24.09 in the 400-meter hurdles to post a sixth-place showing.
Junior
Grace Bedore posted a 13:03.27 to finish second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, while sophomore
Abby Hunt added a fifth-place performance with a time of 15:21.89.
In the 4x100-meter relay, Husson's team of Perry, freshman
Brooke Chase, Monreal and Dearborn finished second with a time of 53.05.
Junior
Nina Gregory cleared 1.45 meters in the high jump to finish fourth, while Freeman cleared 2.75 meters in the pole vault to finish second.
Additionally, freshman Bri Andrews cleared 2.00 meter and Chase also cleared 2.00 meters to finish tied for fourth overall.
Monreal added the Eagles third second-place finish in the triple jump, posting a distance of 10.19 meters.
Junior
Megan Fletcher posted a fourth-place showing in the hammer with a throw of 36.84 meters, while senior
Aaralyn Scroggins tallied an eighth-place finish with a distance of 34.01 meters and sophomore Abbie Conlogue added a PR throw of 29.51 meters.
Conlogue conclude the Eagles showing with an eighth-place throw of 29.40 meters in javelin.
Husson now turns its attention to the Pine Tree State Classic on Friday and Saturday hosted by Colby College.
