MEDFORD, Mass. — The Husson University women's outdoor track & field team finished tied for sixth overall with 40 points at the Tufts Snowflake Classic on Saturday hosted by Tufts University.
The Eagles opened their scoring in the 400 meters, freshman
Molly Dearborn finished sixth with a 1:05.17.
While freshman
Brooke Chase ran to a sixth-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 18.28.
Junior
Lexi Freeman clocked a 1:21.40 in the 400-meter hurdles to finish sixth overall.
Senior
Ava Dowling qualified for the New England Championships in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, clocking a time of 12:10.91 to finish second, while sophomore
Abby Hunt finished third in the event with a 15:14.51.
The Eagles 4x100-meter relay team of junior
Niamiah Perry, Chase, freshman
Natasha Monreal and Dearborn finished second in the event with a time of 52.53.
Chase also posted a fifth-place showing in the triple jump with a distance of 9.98 meters and junior
Megan Fletcher finished fourth in the hammer throw with a throw of 37.31 meters.
Husson will now compete in the two-day Monks Invitational beginning on Apr. 11.
