WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference released its weekly awards for women's basketball on Monday and Husson University women's basketball sophomore Saige Evans was named co-player of the week.
Evans earned her second-straight player of the week honor after helping the Eagles to a 2-1 week last week, including a 2-0 start to NAC play. Evans scored eight points on Tuesday in a setback to RV/No. 12 Bates College, before totaling 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals in a one-point win over Thomas College. Evans capped off her week with a dominant game against Lesley University in a decisive victory, posting a career-high 33 points on 14-20 shooting, in addition to eight rebounds in just 29 minutes of action.
Husson returns to action on Dec. 2 when it hosts the University of Maine at Fort Kent at 6 p.m.
