Bryan leads men’s cross country at NAC Preview

BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University men's cross country team turned in a solid showing on Saturday morning at the NAC Preview Meet, led by junior Micah Bryan, who placed 14th overall in the 8-kilometer race at Saxl Park.

Bryan paced the Eagles with a personal-best time of 30:59.95, while freshman Jake Violette was close behind, crossing in 31:24.69 to finish 18th in a field of 49 runners.

Freshman Oden Schlager clocked out at 35:07.21 for 32nd place, while junior Thomas Hinton (39:07.63) and senior Jaden Grazulis (41:45.95) rounded out Husson's scoring five. Senior Christian Zapata (43:10.38) also competed for the Eagles, finishing 45th overall.

The University of Maine at Farmington placed four runners in the top six to capture the team title, led by individual champion Andrew Laflamme (26:49.54). Maine Maritime Academy finished second, followed by Thomas College to round out the top-three.

Husson is back in action on Oct. 18 when it heads to Waterville for the Thomas Invite.
