Men’s cross country takes third at Thomas Invite

WATERVILLE, Maine — The Husson University men's cross country team earned a third-place finish at the Thomas College Invitational on Saturday morning at Quarry Road Trails.

The Eagles totaled 92 points in the 8K race, finishing behind Thomas College (27) and Maine Maritime Academy (30). Junior Micah Bryan paced Husson with a top-10 finish, crossing the line ninth overall in 29:41.0.

Freshman Jake Violette followed close behind in 30:59.4 to place 14th, while freshman Oden Schlager ran a steady race to take 20th with a time of 33:07.5. Rounding out the Eagles' scoring five were junior Thomas Hinton in 27th (36:53.6) and senior Christian Zapata in 31st (39:09.5).

The Eagles will return to action on Nov. 1 when they host the North Atlantic Conference Championship meet at Saxl Park.
