COBLESKILL, N.Y. – The Husson University women's soccer team continued its strong play in North Atlantic Conference action on Saturday afternoon, cruising past SUNY Cobleskill 6–1 behind a balanced offensive effort that saw six different Eagles record a goal or assist.
Freshman Jaquie Pangburn set the tone early, scoring twice in the opening 14 minutes to give Husson (7-4-1, 4-0-1 NAC) a 2–0 lead. Both of Pangburn's goals were assisted by junior Rylee Speed, who later added a goal of her own in the second half.
Husson carried a 2–0 advantage into halftime before breaking the match open after the break. Junior Lyndsee Reed extended the lead in the 50th minute off a pass from sophomore Hailey Tarbox, and senior Addi Laslie followed six minutes later with her eighth goal of the season, assisted by classmate Devon St. Louis.
Cobleskill's (0-8, 0-5 NAC) Jessica Carney cut into the lead briefly in the 60th minute, but the Eagles answered right away as freshman Jillian Long scored just over a minute later on an assist from Laslie to make it 5–1.
Speed capped the scoring in the 79th minute, finishing a feed from sophomore Ella Hosford to secure the 6–1 victory.
