GORHAM, Maine — The Husson University women's track & field team finished sixth at the USM Husky Invitational on Saturday hosted by the University of Southern Maine.
Husson scored its first points of the meet in the 800-meter run when senior
Mackenzie Emerson won the event with a 2:31.22.
Junior
Grace Bedore added to the Eagles point total with a third-place finish in the 1-mile run with a time of 5:53.32.
In the distance medley relay, sophomore
Abby Hunt, senior
Ava Dowling, Emerson and freshman
Molly Dearborn finished fifth with a time of 15:11.41.
Junior
Nina Gregory cleared 1.56 meters in the high jump to finish second overall, while junior
Lexi Freeman added fourth-place finish in the pole vault with a height of 2.80 meters.
Freshman
Natasha Monreal continued her impressive indoor season with a third-place distance of 5.03 meters in the long jump to finish third and added a second-place jump of 10.23 meters in the triple jump.
The Eagles will now compete at the State of Maine Intercollegiate Indoor Track & Field Championship on Feb. 8 at Farley Field House in Brunswick, Maine hosted by Bowdoin College.
