LEWISTON, Maine — The Husson University volleyball team returned to action on Wednesday, falling 3-0 to Bates College on the road.
Bates (1-0) benefited from a .320 hitting percentage in the opening quarter and only one error to pick up a 25-12 set-one win over Husson (1-3).
The Bobcats match their opening set with another 25-12 win in the second set, hitting .320 before concluding the match with a 25-14 win in the deciding set.
Sophomore
Janna Preskorn and freshman
Mikayla Gray led the Eagles with six kills each, while Gray tallied a game-high nine digs.
Senior
Cam Schweitzer finished with a game-high two blocks, while senior
Alyvia McIntyre recorded 12 assists.
Husson returns to action on Friday when it hosts New England College at 4 p.m. for its 2024 home opener.
