LEXINGTON, Mass. — The Husson University volleyball team improved to 1-0 in North Atlantic Conference play following a 3-0 win on the road against Lesley University on Friday night.
Husson (3-8, 1-0 NAC) picked up a 25-7 win in set one, 25-10 in set two and 25-17 in set three to come away with the 3-0 decision.
The Eagles finished with double-digit kills in all three sets and hit .419 for the match.
Sophomore
Janna Preskorn finished with a game-high eight kills, while fellow sophomore
Alana Peruti tallied six kills.
Preskorn also finished with an impressive six service aces, while freshman
Mikayla Gray recorded five and senior
Beatrice Tursi added three aces.
Senior
Alyvia McIntyre dished out a game-high 26 assists, while Tursi scooped up eight digs and junior
Leah Peloquin added six digs.
Additionally, senior's
Alexa Beal and
Cam Schweitzer finished with four kills apiece and Gray also posted four kills to give Husson 33 for the match.
The Eagles finished the night with 18 service aces as a team and only seven attack errors.
Next up for Husson is a NAC home showdown against Maine Maritime Academy on Friday.
