WATERVILLE, Maine — The Husson University field hockey team lost a hard-fought 6-4 decision to Colby College on the road Sunday in non-conference action.
Colby (4-2) began the in-state showdown with a goal 2:24 into the game, but Husson (4-4) matched the Mules score with a goal of its own. Junior
Maddie Arsenault powered a shot into the back of the cage to even the match 1-1.
The Mules added another goal in the first quarter and one in the second to take a 3-1 advantage into the halftime break.
Colby increased its edge to 6-1 with three third-quarter goals, but Husson wouldn't go down without a fight.

Tessa Capozzoli each added goals in the fourth quarter to pull with 6-4 of the Mules, but Colby's three goals in the third proved to be the deciding factor in Sunday's showdown.

Maria Levesque tallied 10 saves in the loss, while Husson made the most of its nine shot attempts, putting seven on cage.
Next up for the Eagles is a Saturday matchup on the road against the University of Maine at Farmington beginning at noon.
