STANDISH, Maine — The Husson University volleyball team dropped a non-conference road matchup against Saint Joseph's College of Maine 3-0 on Saturday.
Husson (2-8) fell 25-17 in the opening set to SJC (4-8) before battling back in the second frame before falling 25-22.
In the final set of Saturday's non-conference matchup, the Monks came away with the 25-21 decision to pick up the 3-0 win.
Sophomore
Janna Preskorn finished with eight kills for the Eagles, while freshman
Mikayla Gray tallied four kills and sophomore
Alana Peruti finished with three.
Preskorn also added a game-high four service aces to go along with five digs.
Peruti recorded two blocks, while senior
Alyvia McIntyre posted a game-high 15 assists.
Freshman Amanda Morse collected a game-high seven digs.
The Eagles will now turn their attention to North Atlantic Conference play opening the conference season with a road matchup against Lesley University on Friday.
