BANGOR, Maine — D3baseball.com announced its all-region teams on Tuesday and Husson University baseball had four players recognized.
Junior
Matt Wallingford headlined the Eagles selections earning first-team honors after being named North Atlantic Conference Pitcher of the Year and East Division first team. Wallingford finished the year 5-3 with a 1.72 ERA with 47 strikeouts in 47 innings pitched.
Senior
Jackson Curtis tallied third-team honors after leading Husson with a .369 average, 48 hits, nine doubles, 10 homeruns and 36 RBIs.
NAC freshman of the year and East Division first-team selection
Matt Holmes also earned third-team honors. Holmes finished second on the team with a .349 average, tallying 38 hits, seven doubles, two triples and seven homeruns to go along with 26 RBIs.
The Eagles final all-region nod went to sophomore
Cam Rendell who earned third-team utility honors after finishing the year with a .326 average, 30 hits, eight doubles, one homerun and 17 RBIs.
