Laela Martinez tallied back-to-back goals to make it a 7-3 game with 2:59 left in the first half. The Roos scored the final three markers in the closing moments of second stanza to hold a 10-4 advantage heading into the intermission.
The visitors open the third frame with a women-up advantage goal off the stick of Benoit before Dayter scores three consecutive goals to push SUNY Canton lead to 13-5 with 2:43 left in the quarter. Back-to-back goals from senior
Sophia Gomez and Martinez cut the Roos lead back to six goals heading into the final quarter of the game.

Jordyn Lengle to make it a 16-9 game with 5:22 remaining but the Roos scored four goals in the closing minutes of the game to count for their 20-9 victory.
SUNY Canton held the leads in shots (46-27), shots on goal (32-19), ground balls (21-16) and draw controls (19-12) in the victory.
Husson sophomore
Emma Begin made 12 saves with two ground balls in the setback while SUNY Canton netminder Olivia Scoot turned away 10 shots and scooped up three grounds and caused one turnover in the victory.
Martinez recorded three goals, an assists, three ground balls, two caused turnovers and a draw control. Benoit added two goals with three ground balls and three draw controls. Gardner netted a goal with an assist. Gomez and Baker each added a goal apiece. Senior
Devyn Veits had a game-high eight draw controls.
Dayter tallied seven goals with three assists, a caused turnover and seven draw controls to lead the Roos. Caron chipped in four goals, two assists, three ground balls, three caused turnovers and a game-high eight draw controls. Nappi added three goals and three assists with three ground balls. Lindsey Wunder had two goals and three assists with four ground balls, a caused turnover and three draw controls. Sydney Dunn and Ava Reynolds each scored a goal in the victory.
The Eagles continued their road trip on Wednesday at the University of Southern Maine. The opening draw is scheduled for 4 p.m.
