BANGOR, Maine — The Husson University men's lacrosse team dropped a 18-3 North Atlantic Conference matchup at home on Saturday and SUNY Morrisville.
SUNY Morrisville (3-7, 2-1 NAC) jumped out to an early 8-0 lead in the first quarter over Husson (3-8, 0-3 NAC).
The Mustangs added two more goals in the second quarter to extend their advantage to 10-0 before junior
Nathan Vibber got on the board for the Eagles with a goal from sophomore
Kolton Gillilan.
Senior
Matt Boynton scored a man-up goal for the Eagles from junior
Sean Lyne at the 1:11 mark in the second, but SUNY Morrisville controlled a 12-2 lead heading in to the break.
Freshman
Owen Giorgio accounted for the Eagles final goal in the third quarter from Vibber, but SUNY Morrisville's strong first quarter proved to be the difference as it held on for the 18-3 decision.
Husson will now battle Thomas College on the road Thursday in conference action beginning at 4 p.m.
