WATERVILLE, Maine - The Husson University men's lacrosse team outlasted the Thomas College Terriers on the road to the tune of an 11-7 win on Thursday.
The Eagles (4-8, 1-3 NAC) took an early two-point lead thanks to goals from senior Matt Boynton and freshman Owen Georgio in the first quarter.
The Terriers (0-6, 0-3 NAC) went on to net four unanswered goals, before Georgio made it a 4-3 game going into halftime.
Coming out of the break, the Eagles and Terriers traded goals, before Husson pulled away with the lead on Boynton's second goal of the game.
Entering the fourth quarter, it was all Eagles, as junior Sean Lyne netted three goals, junior Nathan Vibber put in two, while sophomore Aidan Byers and senior Dean Sinkler each added one of their own.
Sophomore goalkeeper Cohen Trnka stood tall in goal, recording 10 saves.
The Eagles will take on the reigning NAC Champion Maine Maritime Academy next Wednesday at home at 7 p.m.
