CLEARWATER, Fla. - Husson University women's lacrosse team drops their final game on their spring break trip to Berry College, 20-6, on Thursday morning at the Joe DiMaggio Sports Complex.
The Vikings held a 5-0 lead until
Madison Lower scored a women-up free-position goal with 10:26 remaining in the second stanza. Berry (7-2, 0-1) responded quickly by scoring seven of the games next eight goals to take a 12-2 lead into the break. Senior
Sophia Gomez scored the Eagles lone goal over that time frame which came during a Husson (0-3) women-up advantage.
Berry scored six goals in the third period to take an 18-2 lead going into the fourth quarter. Sophomore
Averi Baker tallied back-to-back goals to open the final stanza to make the game 18-4 at the 10:43 mark of the fourth. The Eagles and Vikings traded goals back-and-fourth for the remaining minutes of the game to count for the 20-6 score. The two Husson goals came off the sticks of sophomore

Natalie Whitten.
Sophomore Emma begin made eight saves in the net for the Eagles. Baker tallied two goals with three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Lower, Martinez, Gomez and Whitten each had a goal apiece. Senior
Devyn Veits recorded a team-high six ground balls.
The Eagles to action on Tuesday, March 12 when they travel to Lewiston, Maine to face the Bobcats of Bates College for the first time in program history. The opening draw is scheduled for 5.p.m.
