LEWISTON, Maine - The Husson University women's lacrosse falls to Bates College, 22-2, in a non-conference game at Garcelon Field on the campus of Bates College.

Sophia Gomez netted her ninth goal of the season on a women-up free-position attempt to make it an 18-2 game with 9:10 remaining in the third quarter.

Emma Begin made ten saves with three ground balls in the setback while Bobcats netminders Raegan White, Avery Lehman and Abigail Ziehl combined to turn away one shot while slitting the game in goal.
For the Eagles, senior
Devyn Veits picked up five ground balls with two draw controls and Gomez added a ground ball and two draw controls to go along with her goal.
For the Bobcats, Hanna Matthews scored three goals with an assist, Lucy Taylor recorded three goals and two assists, Lauren Wong added three goals and one assist and Frankie Franz netted three goals with an assist.
Husson will host the University of Maine at Farmington in their 2024 North Atlantic Conference opener on Wednesday, April 6th at 5 p.m.
