BANGOR, Maine - Husson University toppled Thomas College, 19-1, in a non-conference women's lacrosse contest at John P. Boucher Field on Monday evening.
Husson (1-4) faced a 1-0 deficit until the 8:57 mark of the first quarter, but netted two straight markers and held a 2-1 lead after Junior
Maddy Benoit netted her second goal of the year with 8:02 left in the first stanza.
The Eagles continued the scoring onslaught and held a 6-1 cushion after the first quarter. Senior

Averi Baker hit pay dirt in the second quarter to provide the Eagles with a 10-1 cushion heading into halftime.
Husson closed out the contest with nine unanswered goals from six different players to account for the 19-1 final.
Husson held the lead in shots (30-12), shots on goal (36-3), ground balls (18-16), draw controls (14-10), and caused turnovers (18-15) in the victory.

Emma Begin picked up the win after making two saves in 30 minutes while junior
Lacey Scanlon didn't face a shot in 30 minutes of work. Thomas College (1-4) freshman Bristol Sine posted seven saves in the setback with a game-high five ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Baker tallied three goals, an assists and two caused turnovers. Benoit scored three goals with an assists and a caused turnover. Gomez netted three goals on six shots while adding five ground balls, five caused turnovers and five draw controls. Junior
Natalie Whitten tacked on three goals and an assist. Sophomore
Laela Martinez chipped in with two goals, a ground ball, a caused turnover and a draw control. Freshman
Azabell Assaf posted two goals with a ground ball. Sophomore
Madison Lower scored a goal with an assist and a ground ball. Senior
Devyn Veits contributed a goal, a ground ball, two caused turnovers and a game-high seven draw controls. Junior
Jordyn Lengle added a goal with a ground ball and two caused turnovers.
Junior Alia Chasse had the lone goal for the Terriers and junior Mary LaRochelle was credited with an assist.
The Eagles return to action tomorrow when the travel to Bates College for a 5 p.m. non-conference matchup.
