BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University women's basketball team coasted to a 110-40 Senior Day win over Lesley University, that saw senior Bailey Donovan breaking the program's career record for blocks.

From the opening tip-off it was all Husson (15-9, 10-3 NAC), as the Eagles grabbed the lead from Lesley (1-22, 0-13 NAC) early and never looked back. Husson's impressive ball movement and stellar defense led the team to a 55-24 lead at halftime, as the Eagles were able to shoot 55% from the field off 21 assists after two quarters of play.

Husson won the turnover battle 10-1 in the first-half, scoring 16 points off those turnovers, while also managing to outscore the Lynx 32-8 inside the paint and 14-2 on second chance points.

Donovan's record breaking 217th block came early in the second quarter, as she broke the tie with Husson Hall of Fame member Annie McIntosh, who held the record for 17 years.

The Eagles balanced attack of dominant offense and defense continued in the second-half, opening the third quarter on a 24-0 run, shooting 66% from the field and 50% from three in that span.

Along with Donovan, who finished with 24 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks, leading contributors for Husson were seniors Makaelyn Porter and Carly Price. Porter tallied 14 points and five assists, while Price made five threes en route to her Husson career high of 15 points.

Additionally, Husson finished the game with 72 points in the paint, 31 fastbreak points, 21 steals and a team record of 40 assists in the blowout victory.

The Eagles look to continue their winning ways when they host Lesley again on Saturday afternoon in Newman Gymnasium.
