ORONO, Maine — The Husson University women's indoor track & field team concluded its Fall season on Friday and Saturday at the University of Maine Multi Invite.
In the 60-meter finals, freshman
Molly Dearborn clocked a personal-best time of 8.48 to finish fourth, followed by junior
Niamiah Perry who finished fifth with a time of 8.61.
Perry ran to a sixth-place finish in the 200 meters, while Dearborn added a seventh-place performance.
In her third event of the meet, Dearborn posted another fourth-place finish in the 400 meters, clocking a 1:05.89 while senior
Ava Dowling posted a 1:06.93 to finish fifth.
Junior
Mackenzie Emerson ran to a fourth-place finish in the 800 meters followed by senior
Maddie Jackson who finished fifth.
Sophomore
Abby Hunt recorded a PR in the mile to finish 10th, while junior
Grace Bedore won the 3,000 meters with a PR time of 11:20.69.
Freshman Brookie Chase clocked a 10.75 in the 60-meter hurdles to finish second, followed by junior
Lexi Freeman who finished third, Perry fourth and junior
Nina Gregory who finished fifth.
Bedore, Emerson, Jackson and Hunt combined to finish fifth in the distance medley relay, while Freeman finished second in the pole vault with a height of 2.65 meters.
Freshman
Natasha Monreal set a PR in the long jump at 5.12 meters, followed by Chase who finished fourth and Gregory fifth.
Monreal added another top-five finish in the triple jump with a distance of 10.33 meters followed by Chase who also finished top five.
In the shot put, freshman
Paige Chesbro finished second with a PR throw of 9.58 meters, followed by junior
Megan Fletcher who finished third and senior
Aaralyn Scroggins who added a fifth-place finish.
Scroggins also finished fourth in the weight throw at 11.41 meters, while Chresbro added her second PR at 10.42 meters to finish fifth and Fletcher threw 10.97.
Husson returns to competition on Jan. 17th when it opens in Spring season at UMaine.
