The Terriers pulled within 21-13, but Husson finished the set on a 4-2 run to take a 25-15 opening set decision.

After Thomas took a 5-4 lead to begin the second set, the Eagles rattled off a 5-1 run to take a 9-6 edge, however the Terriers battled back and took a 10-9 advantage. Both squads traded leads over the next few points, before Husson went ahead 18-14 and held on for the 25-20 decision.

Saturday's final set came down to the wire, both teams traded leads before Husson held a 20-15 edge. Thomas didn't go down without a fight as it battled back and took a 24-23 advantage and looked to claim the third set.

However, kills by freshman Mikayla Gray, senior Cam Schweitzer and sophomore Janna Preskorn sealed the 26-24 win for the Eagles.

Preskorn finished with a game-high 17 kills for the Eagles, while Schweitzer and Gray both added eight.
