CASTINE, Maine — The Husson University volleyball team returned to action on Wednesday falling to Maine Maritime Academy 3-0 on the road in North Atlantic Conference action. 
 
MMA (14-9, 8-0 NAC) got off to a strong start in Wednesday's conference showdown winning the opening set 25-7 before Husson (6-15, 4-4 NAC) battled back in the second set falling 25-21 before dropping the third frame 25-13. 
 
Sophomore Janna Preskorn finished with a game-high 15 kills while senior Alexa Beal added six kills. 
 
Senior Alyvia McIntyre dished out a game-high 24 assists, while fellow senior Beatrice Tursi scooped up a game-high 16 digs. 
 
The Eagles close out the 2024 regular season on Saturday with a trip to Presque Isle for a doubleheader against the University of Maine at Presque Isle beginning at 1 p.m.
