BANGOR, Maine — The Husson University volleyball team returned to action on Friday evening falling 3-0 to Thomas College in North Atlantic Conference action.
Thomas (5-11, 4-2 NAC) started out strong against Husson (6-12, 4-3 NAC) winning 25-17 in the opening set, 25-28 in the second frame and picking up the 3-0 decision with a 25-20 set-three decision.
The Eagles were led by sophomore
Janna Preskorn who finished with a game-high nine kills, while freshman
Kimberly Daniels tallied five.
Preskorn also finished with a team-high three assists, while senior
Alyvia McIntyre recorded a game-high 16 assists.
Additionally, senior
Beatrice Tursi scooped up a game-high 18 digs and McIntyre finished with 13 to earn a 16-assist, 13-dig double-double.
Husson returns to action on Saturday when it battles SUNY Plattsburgh at 4 p.m. and Smith College at 6 p.m. in the Smith College Tournament.
