WATERVILLE, Maine — The Husson University field hockey team used a two-goal first quarter to pick up a 2-1 win over Thomas College on the road Saturday.
Husson (6-5) got on the board at the 1:52 mark in the first quarter as junior
Maddie Perkins found sophomore

Junior
Maddie Arsenault struck for the eventual game-winning goal four minutes later off an assist from sophomore
Hope Bouchard for a 2-0 lead.
Thomas (7-6) cut into the Eagles lead with a goal at the 12:29 mark in the first quarter to make the score 2-1.
The Terriers out shot the Eagles 11-3 in the second half, but seven saves from the Husson defense kept Thomas off the board. Junior
Ella Louder recorded two defensive saves, while Perkins also turned away a Terriers shot attempt.
Sophomore
Maria Levesque got the start in cage for Husson, allowing just one goal and making five saves.
The Eagles will now battle No. 22 Bowdoin College on the road on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
