FARMINGTON, Maine — The Husson University women's basketball team rolled to an 86-66 North Atlantic Conference road victory over the University of Maine at Farmington on Monday night.
Husson (6-7, 3-1 NAC) led UMF (4-9, 2-2 NAC) 19-17 following the opening 10 minutes of Monday's conference matchup following a six-point quarter from junior
Hannah Richards.
Graduate student
Bailey Donovan led the Eagles charge in the second quarter with nine of her game-high 32 points, while senior
Carly Price netted five points as Husson carried a 40-28 lead into the halftime break.
The second half would be all Eagles as well as they scored 46 points and limited the Beavers to 38 to improve to 3-1 overall in NAC games.
Donovan dominated in the win for the Eagles, scoring 32 points and adding 17 rebounds, while also dishing out six assists, blocking three shots and recording two steals.
Junior
Jordyn Lengle finished with a near double double for the Eagles, scoring 10 points and pulling down eight boards, Additionally, Lengle added two assists, a steal and block.
Porter finished with nine points, five boards and five assists, while senior
Makaelyn Porter scored eight points.
Husson finished the night with 27 assists and only 10 turnovers, while recording 56 rebounds.
Next up for the Eagles is a NAC matchup against Vermont State University Johnson on Friday at 6 p.m. followed by a 3 p.m. showdown with SUNY Canton on Saturday.
