BANGOR, Maine — Husson University announced the hiring of interim head coach Kaitlin Dolloff '17, '19 G as the new field hockey coach on Tuesday.  Dolloff becomes the ninth head coach and third alum for Husson field hockey, which has collected 11 conference championships in the 27-year history of the program.

Dolloff was named interim head coach prior to the 2023 season and in her first year as head coach, led the Eagles to a 9-5 record and a perfect 4-0 mark in North Atlantic Conference matchups, en route to the NAC Championship

"We are thrilled that Kaitlin has agreed to become the permanent head coach for the Husson field hockey program," said director of athletics John Sutyak. "Her leadership as an assistant coach, as well as our interim head coach this past season, puts us in position for continued success moving forward.  Husson field hockey has a proud tradition, in which Kaitlin has been a part of as a student athlete, alumna and staff member.  We look forward to watching the program continue to thrive under her leadership."

Under Dolloff's direction, the Eagles beat Thomas College 2-1 in the NAC championship for their third-straight conference title — Husson won back-to-back New England Collegiate Conference Championships prior to rejoining the NAC this past season.

"I am grateful to John Sutyak, director of athletics for this opportunity," said Dolloff. "I'm looking forward to working with our student athletes and continuing the success of Husson field hockey."

Additionally, five Eagles earned postseason accolades, including senior Kimmie Goddard capturing defensive player of the year honors along with an all-conference selection. Freshman Tessa Capozzoli earned rookie of the year and all-conference. Senior Teagan Blackie was named to the all-conference team along with sophomore Maddie Perkins, while senior Julia Murch earned sportsmanship team honors.

Goddard also became the first player in program history to be selected to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Senior Team.

A 2017 graduate of Husson, Dolloff served two seasons as the assistant field hockey coach, helping the program to two conference championships.  She also serves as an assistant coach with the women's lacrosse program.
