WATERVILLE, Maine — The Husson University women's basketball team rolled to a 80-53 win over Thomas College on the road In North Atlantic Conference action on Friday evening.
Husson (10-9, 6-3 NAC) started strong in Friday's conference battle, beginning the first quarter with 24 points to the Terriers 12 to carry a double-digit lead into the second quarter.
Thomas (8-11, 5-3 NAC) evened the Eagles 15-15 in the second half, but the Husson's strong opening quarter proved to be the difference at the halftime break.
As they started Friday's contest, Husson came out in the second half shooting over 42 percent from the floor enroute to a 23-point quarter and increase its advantage to 62-43 heading into the fourth quarter.
The Eagles outscored the Terriers 18-10 over the final 10 minutes of play to come away with the 80-53 decision as graduate student
Bailey Donovan led all scorers with 15 points, adding 15 rebounds.
Junior
Sofia Torres-Reyes added 13 points on 3-5 shooting from behind the 3-point line, while fellow junior's
Sophia McVicar and
Lauren Cook each added nine points and freshman
Callaway LePage finished with eight.

Makaelyn Porter dished out a team-high three assists in the win. McVicar added three steals, while Husson finished with an impressive 52-32 advantage on the glass and limited the Terriers to under 30-percent shooting for the game.
The Eagles will now host Thomas on Saturday at 5 p.m. for the final matchup of a NAC home and home with the Terriers.
