NEW LONDON, N.H. - Husson University women's swimming & diving team defeated Colby-Sawyer College on Saturday at Knight Natatorium. The Eagles won 192-39 over the Chargers and won 15 out of 16 events.
Husson opened the day with a win in the 200-yard medley relay, behind a time of 2:12.25 from junior

Colby-Sawyer came back to win the 1000-yard freestyle with freshman Rebecca Radonovich winning with a time of 12:32.57. Husson junior
Kat Christensen placed third with a time of 15:08.58.
The Eagles won the 200-yard freestyle with sophomore
Maggie Poulin winning with a 2:24.57. Poulin later added the 500-yard freestyle to the Husson win column with a time of 6:23.72. Madden then made it back-to-back event wins for Husson with a time of 32.78 in the 50-yard backstroke.
Hand and junior
Grace Rocheleau went 1-2 in the 50-yard breaststroke with respective times of 36.91 and 38.94. Rocheleau added a win in the 100-yard backstroke with a 1:12.46, while Hand grabbed a win in the 400-yard individual medley with a new school record time of 5:08.81. The previous school record time of 5:11.08 stood for 14 years.
Senior
Kayla Payson won the 100-yard butterfly for the Eagles with a time of 1:04.72 and freshman
Mackenzie Gray swam a 30.22 to clinch the 50-yard freestyle. Payson then doubled down by winning the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 59.35.
Sophomore
Riley Mahoney and sophomore
Lily Butler went 1-2 in the 1-meter diving with scores of 210.93 and 173.40 before Mahoney won the 3-meter diving with a new school record score of 177.15.
Madden earned the victory in the 100-yard breaststroke with a leading time of 1:21.07. Freshman
Mia Winslow picked up a win for the Eagles in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 35.09.Â
Husson finished the day by winning the 200-yard freestyle relay with Winslow, freshman
Aura Morin, Poulin and Soutter narrowly defeating a fellow Husson team with a time of 2:02.20.
The Eagles are set to renew their rivalry with Maine Maritime Academy on Saturday, January 27 when they travel to Castine, Maine for a 1 p.m. dual meet.
