Cheyenne Young recorded her second triple double of the season to help Husson University volleyball beat the University of Maine – Presque Isle 3-0 on the road Sunday in North Atlantic Conference action.
Husson (1-9, 1-1 NAC) picked up a 25-19 set one win over UMPI (2-7, 2-2 NAC) before rolling to a 25-15 set two win.
The Owls pushed the Eagles in a hard-fought third set, but Husson came away with the deciding 25-21 win.
Young finished with a game-high 10 kills, while freshman
Janna Preskorn recorded seven kills and junior
Cam Schweitzer tallied five kills.
Preskorn also tallied a game-high three aces, while Young paced the Eagles with a game-high three blocks.
Junior
Alyvia McIntyre recorded a game-high 14 assists, while Young finished with 10 assists and 13 digs.
Both junior
Beatrice Tursi and Preskorn scooped up a game-high 14 digs each.
Husson will look to keep its momentum going on Wednesday when it hosts Fisher College at 6 p.m.
