BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University women's soccer team began homecoming weekend with a bang as they defeated the University of Maine at Farmington, 6-0, in a non-conference fixture at Boucher Field.

The Eagles (4-3) had multiple chances to opening the scoring as they was finally reward in the 40th minute. That goal would break open the game as they were able to score moments again via Laslie. This time, it was junior Natalie Aviolla who set up Laslie as she converted without doubt.

The Eagles firepower continued into the second half as they scored twice in the first five minutes. Laslie and Finn combined for the second time of the day as Laslie completed her hat trick. Freshman KK Daggett followed that up with her second of the season.

In the 78th minute, Aviolla picked up her second assist of the day when she found senior Lindsey Russell for the captains first goal of the season. Freshman Allie Cameron ended the scoring with her first collegiate goal on her first ever shot as an Eagle.

All three goalies made an appearance in the contest as sophomore Madison Weigler started the contest and went the 60 minutes as she made four saves. Junior Hannah Kenney played just over 25 minutes as she made two saves before freshman Aubrey Fadden finished the game with a save of her own.

North Atlantic Conference play begins for the Eagles on Wednesday when they travel to Castine to take on the Mariners of Maine Maritime Academy with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m.
