WESTON, Mass. — The Husson University volleyball team dropped a pair of non-conference games to Salve Regina University and Regis College 3-0 on the road Saturday.
Salve Regina (7-2) took the first set in the opening game against Husson (0-8) 25-20 before winning the second and third sets 25-11 and 25-6, respectively.
Freshman
Janna Preskorn led the Eagles with seven kills, while graduate student
Cheyenne Young finished with six kills and nine assists.
Additionally, junior
Beatrice Tursi recorded a team-high eight digs, while junior Alyvia McIntrye tied Young with a team-high nine assists.
In the Eagles second matchup of the day, Regis (6-4) earned a 3-0 win, earning set wins of 25-13, 25-12 and 25-17.
Prescorn finished with a team-high eight kills, while Young tallied nine assists and sophomore
Leah Peloquin recorded a team-high eight digs.
Husson now turns its attention to North Atlantic Conference play when it travels to to Castine, Maine on Saturday for a 2 p.m. showdown with reigning NAC champion Maine Maritime Academy.
