BANGOR, Maine — Husson University announced the hiring of Megan Patterson '20 as its new cheer and dance coach on Monday. 
 
"We are excited to welcome Megan to the athletics staff," said interim director of athletics Janine Gmitter! "We are looking forward to her continuing to grow the cheer and dance programs at the University and build upon the foundation that Hillary created over the past 10 years."
 
Patterson takes over two growing programs, one that she previously competed on from 2014-2019 as a cheerleader. 
 
During her time at Husson, Patterson was named the Husson Athletics Cheer Eagle Award recipient in 2019, was part of the Husson honor roll, psychology club member and Kappa Delta Phi NAS alumna.
 
A native of New Hampshire, Patterson earned her bachelors of science in school psychology in 2020 from Husson and currently works for the department of health of human services in Bangor.
