A statement from head cheerleading coach Hiliary Hoyt.

"Mikayla has been an avid member of the cheer team for four years and was one of our captains this year. She exemplifies what a student-athlete should be, by putting her all into everything she does. When thinking about an Eagle Award winner we are looking for someone that represents what people hope for in a teammate: caring, willing to try new things, and supportive. These are all traits that are well represented in Mikayla. She has gone out of her way to help others and help to create lasting connections in the community as well. Her impact on the team will be lasting and she will be missed next year!"
